593,070. Jet - propulsion plant. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. April 5, 1944, No. 30140/46. Convention date, July 25, 1941. Divided out of 593,022. [Class 110 (iii)] A propulsion jet for aircraft as described in Specification 593,022 has the inlet and exhaust nozzle areas adjustable. In one form, Fig. 5, hinged plates 16, 18 slide between fixed side plates. In a further form the nozzles are made elliptical in section and deformable. The nozzle areas can be adjusted separately or jointly. Specification 593,071 also is referred to.
