592,728. Subaqueous signalling. SOC. FRANCAISE RADIO-ELECTRIQUE. May 28, 1945, No. 13349. Convention date, Jan. 20, 1943. [Class 118 (ii)] In submarine sounding apparatus on board a vessel in which a sound receiver or transmitter 4 is located in a cavity 5 filled with water within the vessel, a deflector 1, in the form of a truncated cone with a central aperture 6 is mounted on the outside of the vessel to provide a zone free of air-bubbles. A pipe 3 may lead from this aperture to a point above the water line to remove any air-bubbles which may collect in the aperture 6.
