[Class 20 (iv)] [Also in Group VIII] A prefabricated panel unit for roofing or wall cladding comprises a base sheet a of bitumen impregnated felt or the like material on which are secured rows of overlapping strips b of the same material. As shown the strips b are formed to simulate courses of tiles and the lower exposed edge of each strip is thickened, shaped, scalloped, turned in or tinted to represent shingles or tiles. The edges c and d of adjacent base sheets interfold to provide a joint which is covered by a strip e formed to simulate tiles.
