[Class 75 (iv)] One of the end plates 3 of the trough-sectioned reflector casing 1 of a fluorescent tubular discharge lamp 16 carries on its outer surface the lamp control gear normally consisting of a choke or transformer 4, condenser and a starting switch 6. A cover 7 for the control gear is secured to the casing by screws and nuts 9 and removable or hinged shields 19 are provided at each end to close the open bottom of the cover 7 and to hide the lamp-supporting clips 15 and brackets 14. The brackets 14 support a wiring channel 18.
