Abstract

589,356. Stackable tables. RUSHTON, T. H. E., and HANSARD, M. Nov. 27, 1944, No. 23575. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii)] A portable table or the like comprises a top plate 7 adapted to be removably secured to a rigid frame U or V-shaped in plan. The frame is formed of a single length of metal tubing and comprises two or three vertical members 1, 3 Fig. 5, or 1, 2, 3 Fig. 1 connected together by an upper and lower horizontal member 4, 5 as shown. Spring clips 9 on the underside of the top plate 7 engage the member 4 to detachably secure the top plate in position. One or more trays 7x with or without "keying" means may be provided to rest or be attached on the top plate 7. A shelf 10 or shelves may be suitably hinged to allow nesting of the frames when the tops have been removed.
