588,701. Non-conducting coverings. VERSIL, Ltd., and BOWLES, M. March 5, 1945, Nos. 5464 and 6861. [Class 64 (ii)] The lagging or insulation B of a boiler or heat storage vessel A is protected by a frameless semi-cylindrical structure C fitting over but not attached to the insulation and formed of readily separable sections consisting of circumferentially corrugated curved sheets which overlap and are secured together by coach screws D. The sheets may be made of metal, asbestos, cement &c. The ends of the boiler may be protected by flat sheets of similar material and connection therebetween may be facilitated by provision of slits along the confronting edges to form interlocking tongues.
