[Class 33] [Also in Groups X, XXVIII and XXXII] In a suction apparatus for emptying gullies, a tank 2 is mounted on a motor vehicle and the suction pipe 6 is carried by a weighted arm 7 so that 'it can be placed in a gully at a point alongside the driver's cabin and swung across the front of the vehicle. The tank 2 is divided so that the compartment 4 can be used as a liquid container for sealing liquid after emptying the gullies and the compartment 5 for receiving the sludge which can be removed by the ram 14.
