588,568. Suitcases. SALGO-SAYER, Ltd., and GREENWALL, R. E. Oct. 31, 1944, No. 21280. [Classes 18 and 133] A suitcase, trunk or the like comprises a hinged lid 1, a central portion 2 having on its 'undersurface a collapsable member 10 also forming an article receiving portion and a hinged base 11, the lid closing the central portion and the base the collapsable member by means of a lock 12. Means such as straps 13 are provided for maintaining the collapsable member in its collapsed position. The lid 1, central portion 2 and base 11 may be divided into compartments 8, some or all of which may be closable by flaps 6, 7 and one of the compartments in the central portion may be provided from side to side with one or more cords over which articles of clothing may be folded.
