584,878. Hammers for impact breakers. PATTINSON, G. H. Jan. 31, 1945, No. 2449. [Class 59] A reversible hammer head for an impact breaker has T-shaped extensions which co-operate with T-shaped apertures in the hammer holder to detachably connect, and securely retain in position, head and holder. The head 1 has T-shaped extensions 2, 3 which co-operate with apertures 5, 6 in the holder 4 so that the crossbars of the extensions 2, 3 bear on surfaces 8, 9 of the holder 4. The parts 5a, 6a of the apertures 5, 6 are then plugged and the extensions bolted to the plugs. Specification 475,430 is referred to.
