[Class 99 (i)] In a tube or rod coupling particularly for scaffolding of the kind in which a pair of semi - cylindrical members 1, 2 are adapted to be inserted within the tube ends or placed over them, and pressed apart or clamped together by a screw 8, the screw engages in an internal boss 5 on the member 2 and is loosely threaded in the member 1, a retaining head 14 being accommodated within a recess in the boss. Each member is cut away from the centre to facilitate insertion.
