Abstract

A building material having a bituminous surface which tends to become sticky is coated with an anti-stick layer consisting of a water-soluble cellulose ether such as methyl, ethyl, or hydroxyethyl cellulose to which may be added a plasticiser such as glycerine, glycol, or diethylene glycol and a wetting agent such as soap or the sodium salt of sulphated heptadecanol. Specification 467,142, [Group VIII], is referred to.ALSO:An anti-stick coating for bituminous surfaced building-materials consists of a dilute aqueous solution of a water-soluble cellulose ether such as methyl, ethyl, or hydroxyethyl cellulose to which may be added a plasticiser such as glycerine, glycol, or diethylene glycol and a wetting agent such as soap or the sodium salt of sulphated heptadecanol.
