[Class 64 (iii)] A heat-exchange tube is provided with external helical fins b, and internal radial fins c, the latter being either plane or corrugated along their length and formed, e.g., of U-section strip. The fins may be provided with protuberances as described in Specification 567,997, and the tube enclosed in an outer-tube. According to the Provisional Specification, the helical and radial fins may be applied to the inner and outer surfaces respectively of the tube.
