[Class 122 (v)] [Also in Group XXIX] The apertures in the housing of a vehicle servo-mechanism through which the control and actuating rods 8, 9 pass, are sealed to prevent ingress of water by flexible sleeves 11, 11a, one end of each sleeve being secured in an annular groove formed in a socket member secured to, or forming part of, the housing and the other end being inturned to provide a close fitting tubular portion secured to the respective rod to move with it. The sleeves may be of rubber and secured to the sockets by binding tape and metal clips 15 and to the rods by an adhesive.
