579,251. Variable condensers. BICKLEY, L. J. July 28, 1943, No. 12306. [Class 37] A variable capacity condenser arrangement, comprises two, or more, banks of fixed elements and co-operating sets of movable elements interleaving with the fixed elements when capacity is desired but interleaving with the elements of another set of movable elements in the positions approaching minimum capacity. Two sets 5 6 are shown with moving blades 5a 6a each normally co-acting with fixed blades 3a, 4a. When swung outwards to disengage, the blades 5a, 6a interleave thereby saving space.
