Abstract

575,627. Thermionic valve-holders. CINCH MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. Dec. 22, 1943, No. 21492. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1942. [Class 38 (i)] A valve-holder comprises an insulating base 1 having an annular series of holes 10 which are reduced in crosssection at the lower end by a projecting shoulder 13, a contact made from sheet metal fitting into each hole and having a slit cylindrical portion 20 that rests upon the shoulder 13 and a semicylindrical portion 23 that projects through the reduced aperture to provide a wiring terminal. This projecting terminal is notched at 24 so that it can be flattened to prevent withdrawal of the terminal and to enable it to be bent at right-angles adjacent the under-surface of the base 1 between radial ribs, the end of the terminal being again bent into an oblique position. The base 1 has a flange 2 notched at 6 to engage projections 7 on the mount 3 which is also pressed into recesses in the flange. Specification 555,922 is referred to.
