Abstract
575,438. Filling ampoules. SILTEN, H. Sept. 27, 1944, No. 18492. [Class 125 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIII] Ampoules 25, Fig. 3, are first cleansed and then filled in the same container 1 in which is secured a vessel 24 provided with a number of ampoules 25 arranged neck downwards. The container 1 can be secured in the position shown in full lines in Fig. 1, or can be secured in an inverted position to permit removal of cleansing liquid through a drain cock 10 in a domed lid 5. The ampoules are first cleaned by liquid which is forced into them by suction of the air out of them and introduction of pressure into container 1 to force liquid into the ampoules. The cleansing liquid is removed by suction and then drained from the container 1 when inverted. Finally with the ampoules 25 in the position shown in Fig. 3, the liquid to be inserted into them. is poured into container 1 which is then connected first to suction and finally to a source of pressure.
