Abstract
574,784. Stamping. CURRAN & CO., Ltd., E., and GOODE, K. C. Feb. 18, 1944, No. 3020. [Class 83 (iv)] A feed device for a drawing'or other press, having a pair of die stations 5, 6 side by side and tools 1, 3 which make their strokes alternately, comprises an arm 11 pivoted at 13 so that pushers 9a, 9b carried by the arm are adapted to push work-pieces 8 placed in front of them into position over said dies alternately. The pushers can be moved by a handle 16 and gearing 14 over a track 20 to which articles, e.g. cartridge cases, are fed by hand from a shoot 22. Stops 5a, 6a are provided for the articles and stops, not shown, may be provided for the arm 11. In this case, the pushers may be mounted adjustably on the arm 11 to allow for varied size of article. A wire mesh guard with an opening at the shoot 22 may be provided.
