Abstract
Rubber is separated from the serum or skim resulting from the creaming or centrifuging of latex by coagulation with acid in the presence of polyamines having at least three amino groups the addition of a stabilizer, as described in the parent Specification, being dispensed with. The coagulation is effected at higher pH values and the rubber is freer from proteins than if the coagulation is effected by acid alone. The polyamines may be diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine tetraethylene pentamine or the mixture obtained by reacting alkylene dihalides with ammonia or primary amines or polymerised polyamines such as aldehydeamine reaction products.
