[Class 123 (i)] A gauge tube mounting comprises a rigid standard 10 which may be a solid or hollow casting, or a vessel, tank or the like served by the gauge tube, which forms a rigid support for two aligned bosses 11, 12 having lateral branch connections 13, 14. Each boss has a machined bore to receive a socket member 11a or 12a formed with a stuffing box 15 for the end of the gauge tube 16. Each socket has a lateral port 19 communicating with the branch connection 13 or 14 each of which is provided with a shutoff valve carried by spindle 21.
