570,798. Sharpening drills. SENIOR, T. March 9, 1944, No. 4353. [Class 60] The drill is mounted in a chuck on a spindle driven by hand and given a variable longitudinal reciprocation by the engagement of cams on a disc thereon with a fixed abutment, the cams being formed by levers, the inclination of which can be varied by the engagement of pins thereon with cam tracks on a second disc circumferentially adjustable with respect to the first. The spindle e is mounted in a headstock c and carries the chuck f. The levers m, n forming the cams are mounted in recesses in the disc and are furnished with pins m<2>, n<2> engaging cam surfaces r<1>, r<2> on the ring r adjustable relatively to the disc j. A rest is provided for positioning the drill comprising a V-member b mounted on the base a and fitted with a removable setting plate d.
