Abstract

570,540. Hangers for sliding doors &c. OVERTON, W. Oct. 11, 1943, No. 16589. [Class 20 (iii)] A runner for sliding doors, &c., comprises a pivoted housing 27 in which a roller 28 is journalled and a casing 32 is supported on the roller axle enclosing the roller and carrying felt or like wiper pads 33 which clean the track. The roller housing is pivoted on stub axles 26, secured to the cranked end 25 of the door hanger bracket by pins or by locking discs as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 respectively and the front wall of the casing 32 is shortened for the upturned lip of the track, Fig. 2. When the track is of channel section with inturned ends the felt pads are secured to the end walls and sides by plates and screws, Fig. 4. The pads are shaped as shown in Fig. 7, the bevelled edges being oppositely directed at the ends of the housing and they may be enclosed in gauze cages pinned to the housing.
