Abstract

568,470. Cigar or cigarette rests and extinguishers ; ash-trays. SLEEMAN, W. G. R. Aug. 31, 1943, No. 14164. [Class 130] A disc-like tray or platform A is formed with a substantial rim B, preferably overhanging, and with a central passage D for embracing a cigarette or cigar and affording a substantial depth of supporting surface for the cigarette or cigar. The device serves as an ash-tray and as a rest for supporting a cigarette &c. on a .table, as shown in Fig. 5, while the passage D is long enough to extinguish the cigarette when it burns down. The tray may be dished or saucer-shaped and may be polygonal or provided with projections C to prevent rolling.
