Abstract

566,940. Spindles for winding and like frames. STOTT, A. H. July 24, 1943, No. 12081. [Classes 120 (ii)] A paper or cardboard tube 12, Fig. 2, is secured on a winding frame spindle 6a or on a sleeve mounted thereon by means of a blade or blades 10 mounted on a collar 8 adjustable on the spindle or sleeve, the blades 10 being accommodated in longitudinal slots 7 from which they project sufficiently to hold the tube 12. The free end of each blade is tapered and, for right - hand rotation, Fig. 4, the face 11 is flat to ensure a firm grip on the tube.
