[Class 112] A single or double guide to position an edge tape 22 on a workpiece 50 preliminary to stitching comprises a base 10 with a forward edge 23 bent over as in Fig. 3 to guide the lower part of the tape, and an arm 16 having a nose plate 39 attached. The arm is pivoted on a screw 17 and has a notch 45 which engages a screw 46and a knob 47 to push the arm into the position shown in Fig. 5. A part 11 is curved in two dimensions, as shown, to guide the tape when the upper side is not to be stitched. The base is adjustably mounted on the sewing-machine by means of screws 14, 15 which are countersunk within a recess 33.
