Abstract

Polymethyl methacrylate resins are coloured for use in producing surgical and dental prostheses, e.g. teeth, crowns, bridges and inlays by incorporating red and yellow dyes in liquid methyl methacrylate monomer and blue pigment in powdered polymethyl methacrylate and mixing the coloured monomer and polymer. White and/or black pigments may also be added to the powder. Suitable dyes and pigments are specified.
