562,035. Arched concrete structures. WALLER, J. H. DE W., and BOWENCOLTHURST & PARTNERS, Ltd. Nov. 11, 1942, No. 15954. Addition to 545,334. [Class 20 (iv)] A structure formed of arched units of wave form in longitudinal section as described in the parent Specification is provided with tubular tension bars 10 extending longitudinally across the waves and tensioned by screwed nuts or wedges placing the structure in longitudinal compression. The bars are coated with bitumen or are wrapped with paper or cloth to prevent adhesion to the concrete. Tubular branches 13 extending into the structure serve as supports or conduits.
