Abstract

561,669. Electric hotplates. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., FRASER, J. A., and HUMM, R. W. Feb. 5,1943, No. 1959. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric hot plate 13, which is shown inverted, is provided with a tripod undercarriage 1 channelled at 11 to facilitate drainings from cooking, and with a fixing stud 2 which also holds an earth connection 10. Levelling screws 3 are provided to adjust the hot plate relatively to the top plate of the cooker. An under cover (not shown) is secured by studs 4, 5. Heating element connections 7 extend to a terminal block 6 which also receives the wires 8 from the supply cable 12. The undercarriage is attached to the hinged top plate of the cooker, and no plug-and-socket connection is used.
