560,402. Electroplating cylindrical articles. JONES, R. G. Dec. 17, 1942, No. 17925. [Class 41] Cylindrical articles to be electroplated internally, such as rifle barrels and engine cylinders or cylinder linings, are fitted with end caps 7, 8, of insulating material supporting internal anodes 5, Fig. 2, the lowermost end caps 7 being threaded to engage openings in the false bottom 2 of a tank 1, Fig. 1, through which electrolyte is circulated from a vessel 3. To facilitate coating up to the ends, conducting washers 10 are fitted temporarily on to the ends of the tubes.
