560,360. Gimbal frames. MILES AIRCRAFT, Ltd., (formerly Phillips & Powis Aircraft Ltd.), and DEACON, A. Dec. 8, 1942, No. 17472. [Class 113 (i)] A gimbal frame for gyroscopes or other instruments is built up from metal stampings 1 interconnected by spacers 3. The parts are preferably of light metal and may be anodised. The spacers are threaded at 4 to receive bearings, and are slit at 5 whereby the bearings may be clamped in position.
