560,354. Fire-extinguishing. M. &. P. COLLOID STABILIZERS, Ltd., and MAY, J. Dec. 3, 1942, No. 17229. [Class 47 (ii)] In the production of fire-extinguishing foam by using a bi-carbonate solution with an acid reagent, a stabilising agent used with the bi-carbonate consists of an extract obtained under alkaline conditions from the pulped flesh of vegetable roots, such as beet, turnips, or swedes. It may be used alone, or admixed with any other stabilising compound, such as saponin or logwood extract.
