559,653. Hose clips. JAMIE, R. C. S., and HUNT & TURNER, Ltd.. Aug. 19, 11942, No. 11693. [Class 44] In a hose-clip of the kind having slots on the outer overlapping end 3 engaged by a screw worm 5 rotatably mounted in a housing 4 carried by the inner end, the band is guided through the housing along a straight path so that the slots within the housing are simultaneously engaged by substantially the whole length of the screw. The end 9 of the housing has a curved guide 11 serving to bend the end 3 into contact with the band 1 as it leaves the housing. As shown the lower wall of the housing is thickened and formed externally to conform with the curvature of the pipe, but a form is also described in which the lower wall is straight and with approximately the same length and thickness as the upper wall to which it is parallel. Apart from the features referred to above, the housing and screw described are as described and claimed in Specification 569,652.
