[Class 75 (iii)] An insert for the casing 12 of a pocket or table lighter consists of a cast metal tubular body 1 having a closed top and formed with a wick tube 2, a flint tube 4, and with ears 3 to support the friction wheel 9. The wall of the body may have strengthening ribs on its inner surface and be formed with V-shaped slits 1c so as to grip the tinner surface of the casing 12. The wick 10 is surrounded with cotton-wool 11 and cottonwool 14 is provided in the lower part of the casing 12.
