Abstract

554,468. Relaxation oscillators. SHERIDAN, V. A. Nov. 6, 1942, No. 14323/41. [Class 40 (v)] The amplitude of the output of a multivibrator is kept constant by rectifying part of the output and applying the direct voltage as control bias for the oscillator. As shown, valves 15, 16 are connected as a multi-vibrator having variable frequency-determining elements 21-24. The output is applied to an anode bend detector 17, the resulting rectified voltage across resistance 18 being applied to control grid 20 to maintain the amplitude constant at all frequencies.
