554,296. Coated fabric. SMITH & NEPHEW, Ltd., T. J., BURLEY, D. W., and STERN, H. J. Sept. 11, 1942, No. 16575. Divided out of 554,186. [Class 140] A surgical bandage &c, is formed from a stretchable film of a mixture of poylmerized methyl methacrylate and polymerized vinyl acetate, with a single plasticizer or mixed plasticizers, which is coated with an adhesive, e.g. rubber and resin with or without zinc oxide or other fillers and with or without softeners applied as a solution, e.g. in petroleum spirit. A mixture of 6 parts by weight of polymerized methyl methacrylate and 5 parts of polymerized vinyl acetate with one part each of methyl glycol phthalate and tricresyl phosphate may be used.
