553,407. Measuring pressure. ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY MOTORS, Ltd., and MARTYN, H. L. Oct. 15, 1941, No. 13265. [Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XIX] Comprises a fluid-pressure pick-up having a portion 13 adapted to be screwed into the pressure receptacle, and having a diaphragm 22 rigidly attached at its centre to the top portion 19 of a top-hat member which extends with clearance into portion 13, the flange 17 of the top-hat member being supported away from the part 13. The diaphragm 22 carries a condenser plate 23 spaced from a similar plate 15 insulated from a support screwed into the part 12. A coolant may be admitted through the passage 28 and pass out through the passage 30.
