552,861. Displaying. CAPLAN, M. April 29, 1942, No. 5789. [Class 3 (i)] In a display apparatus employing a tranlucent mirror 11 behind which a translucent advertisement &c. 35 is intermittently illuminated by action by a passer-by, a plurality of displays 35 may be mounted on a rotary drum 34. The device may comprise a weighing machine, and indirect action be effected by the process of weighing, or by the weight of the person passing, or by the cutting-off of a photoelectric beam emerging at 12. In other cases direct action by pressing a button, pulling a lever, or inserting a coin effects the lighting &c. Instead of stationary images a kinematic representation may be shown. There may also be combined with the device an electric gramophone 21, 22 delivering to a loud-speaker D. For each rotation of the apparatus the drum 34 moves automatically step-by-step to display each of the representations on its periphery.
