Abstract
552,826. Filing papers. BROADHURST, C. J. Jan. 17, 1942, No. 725. [Class 146 (i)] In a loose-leaf binder in which the sheets are retained by a lace B passing through the sheets and through holes in a clamping-bar D, the lace has cross-bar tags B<SP>1</SP> at its ends, and a clamping-device G, which may be in the form of a flat spiral spring, as described in Specification 364,810, is located around or near one of the holes in the bar D. The sheets are bound by pulling the lace until the tag at one end abuts against the clamping-bar, and then securing the other end of the lace under the clamping- device G. To facilitate the removal of sheets,the ends of the lace may be joined by a separate lace having at its ends spear-shaped tags, which are inserted into the tags B<SP>1</SP>.
