[Class 69 (ii)] [Also in Group XXI] For the remote control of gun turrets or other rotatable structures the controlling element comprises a rotatable member a provided with a grooved cam b, or an equivalent cam or profiled member, which on rotation produces relative movement of the piston and cylinder d of a telemotor device, the cylinder d being connected by pipes f, g to the cylinder s of a similar double acting hydraulic motor, which causes a rotatable member h formed with a cam groove e to reproduce the motions of the control member a. The piston of the motor s permits the member h to be rotated under the power of a hydraulic or other motor m which is controlled by the motion o.f the handle o of the controlling member a. The controlled member h may operate a gun turret directly or by screw-mechanism, or may control servo-mechanism which may be hydraulic or electric so that the turret is rotated by hydraulic or electric motors under control of an arm p attached to the member h. A pair of controls may be used in combination to control training and elevating motions of a gun.
