Abstract

546,270. Mole ploughs. YATES, E. A. April 28, 1942, No. 5660. [Class 6 (i)] A mole plough for making trenches to receive drain pipes comprises cutting wires or cables 22 secured at their lower ends to a trailing mole 23 behind a mole 13 at the bottom of a vertical blade 12 and at their upper ends to a cross bar 19 secured by struts and stays 20, 21 to the horizontal frame members 10 carrying the mole blade. Rotary disc cutters 18 are mounted on stub axles held adjustably in blocks on the frame. The excavated earth is elevated by a tapering inclined plate 30, which discharges the earth on each'side of the trench.
