Abstract

544,399. Spinning processes. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE. Aug. 28, 1941, No. 11004. Convention date, Sept. 21, 1940. [Classes 120 (ii) and 120 (iii)] Rovings from a drawing frame are combined in funnels and the rovings from two or more funnels are delivered to a rotary can in which they are slightly twisted together, the cans are then rotated in the opposite direction when delivering to a flyer frame so that the rovings are separated for spinning. As shown in Fig. 2, rovings from cans 1 are passed through drawing rollers 3 and two sets 4, 4a of four rovings each are combined in funnels 5, 6 and are delivered, slightly twisted together, into a rotating can 7. The can 7 is then transferred to a flyer frame, Fig. 3, and the rovings 4, 4a from the can are separated, by rotating the can in a direction opposite to that in which it was rotated in the drawing frame, and delivered separately to the drawing rollers 11 and flyers 12 of the flyer frame.
