Abstract

544,256. Washers. CELESTION, Ltd., and COOKE, F. G. Oct. 2, 1940, No. 14795. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Groups XXII and XXIV] Washers, collars, flanges &c. are fixed into rods or tubes by notching the washer at 4 and upsetting the metal into a groove 2 by means of a ring punch, securing the washer in place but permitting relative rotation. If the fixing is to be rigid the sides of the groove may converge or the inner periphery of the washer may be knurled. Washers may be fixed on square rods in a similar manner.
