[Class 17 (ii)] The rubber sole 1 of a shoe is acutely bevelled particularly at the toe position, and a wedge-shaped filling-in piece is interposed between this portion of the sole and the upper 2, the whole being vulcanized in situ. The sole may be bevelled on its upper side, and the filling may be integral with a mid-sole.
