Abstract
541,916. Military barricades. PAGE, F. C. June 17, 1940, No: 10461. [Class 20 (i)] A barricade for use against either infantry or tanks comprises coils of barbed wire supported between and by uprights which are spaced apart, each upright being formed with a long arm 2 and a short arm 1 disposed at right angles. Against infantry the uprights are supported with the long arms 2 secured to the ground, but in the event of tank attack the supports are moved so that the long arms are elevated and support the barricade wires 5 between them at a greater height with a clear space beneath the lower wire. The supports may be retained in the position by guy ropes. The upper ends of the longer arms may be turned inwardly towards the shorter arms.
