541,695. Ceramic compositions. HAGAR, D. June 5. 1940, No. 9848. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1939. [Classes 22 and 70] Ceramic compositions for making tiles, dinnerware &c. consisting of 5-45 per cent. of talc and the remainder of clay, flint and feldspar are admixed with 0.1-5 per cent. of a barium compound such as barium carbonate in order to increase the firing range. The talc may be replaced by tremolite or 'pyrophillite.
