Abstract
541,587. Hand-propelled vehicles; rest-bars. MANN, G. E. March 27,1940, No. 27633/39. [Classes 108 (i) and 108 (ii)] A collapsable trolley comprises a pair of side frames a, b held apait by transverse stays or bars c which may be detached to permit the frames to be superimposed and be secured together. In one construction, Fig. 1, the frame a has sockets d to receive the spigotted ends of the bars c and the frame b has spigots g to receive the other ends of the bars. Thus when the bars have been detached the two frames may be attached together by the spigots g and sockets d. The bars c may then be attached to other sockets d<SP>1</SP> on the frames a as indicated in broken lines. Wheels j, k of which the wheels k may be of castor type are provided. Telescopic rest-bars comprise boss m slidable in channels n secured to the frames a, band having handles p adapted to engage slots q to hold the boss in extended position. In another construction Fig. 4, each bar c<SP>1</SP> has a pair of spigots at one end t whereby the frames a, b may be secured together with the boss extending between them as shown. To hold the frames apart in the service position, one of the pair of spigots and the single spigot at the other end of a bar is engaged respectively in the sockets r on this two frames. The boss c or c<SP>1</SP> form supports for packages or an ambulance stretcher for which clips i are provided.
