541,078. Airscrew blades. BRIERLEY, W., and ROTOL AIRSCREWS, Ltd. May 8, 1940, No. 8317. [Class 114] The leading edge of airscrew blades is modified by strips 11 of stainless steel the abutting edges of which are preferably arranged transversely of the length of the blade. Various modifications are described in which the strips are either flush with or stand proud of the surface of the blade. Wire gauge covering may be employed in connection with the strips.
