Abstract
540,827. Thermionic generating circuits; circuits for wireless reception. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. April 1, 1940, No. 5856. Convention date, March 31, 1939. [Class 40 (v)] In a Barkhausen-Kurtz oscillator frequency variation due to supply changes is compensated by varying the voltage of another valve electrode through a direct current amplifier. Fig. 2 shows an arrangement in which control is applied to a separate frequency controlling grid, the compensating voltage being derived through an amplifier B from resistances R1, R2, connected across the high tension supply. The input may be a dipole connected to the Lecher wire system L. Alternatively the voltage control may be of the filament heating, Fig. 5 (not shown), or changes in filament voltage may cause compensating changes in plate voltage, Fig. 6 (not shown).
