539,748. Tendering meat. BERKEL & PARNALL'S SLICING MACHINE MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd., and FITZPATRICK, H. J. (Maatschappij van Berkel's Patent N.V.). March 19, 1940, No. 5064. Addition to 524,451. [Class 28 (ii)] Chisel-like implements 27 set at different angles are forced through meat lying on a slotted plate 31 and enter guide channels 35a in a cap 35. The chisels are held ion a vertically-reciprocating cross head 24 which is also giver a meat-feeding movemen towards the left, Fig. 4, by rocker arms 38 hinged on the crosshead and on the casing at 37. The movement of the chisels is arcuate, and the guide channels 35a are corres pondingly arcuate. A re movable shield may be place( over the top of the cap 35 when the machine is not ir use, to exclude debris and insects. Specification 536,269 is referred to.
