Abstract

538,188. Refrigerating. CHERRY-BURRELL CORPORATION. Jan. 17, 1940. No. 1066. Converition date; Jan. 26, 1939. [Class 29] Evaporators. A refrigerant jacket around a freezer cylinder 37 is formed by assembling thereon a series of split flanged rings 116, the flanges :117 being cut away at 119 adjacent the slits and ribs 120 being placed in the. slits-and the whole secured together by welding to provide a helical passage for refrigerant. A heat exchanger 84 to precool the inlet refrigerant by the returning vapours and manual valves 87,91 and a thermo-static valve 90 are provided. The agitating means in the freezer chamber are those set forth in Specification 538,187.
