537,090. Extracting juices from lemons etc.; separating contents of eggs. SCURLOCK, L. H. Feb. 17, 1940, No. 3045. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1939. [Class 28 (ii)] The extractor comprises a dome having slots therein, one edge 6 of each slot being turned outwardly to provide cutting edges which scrape the pulp from fruit rotated thereagainst and the other edge 7 being turned inwardly. Some of the slots extend to the apex of the dome. The apex has a cross-shaped slot whose arms terminate in apertures 9; this slot also may have cutting edges. A saucer-shaped portion 1 is joined to the dome by a channel 4 having slots 5 therein. As shown, the extractor may rest on a tumbler ; but the device may be inverted so that the dome depends into the tumbler, in which case it may be used for straining the white from the yolk of an egg.
